Highly Recommend you ask for Duncan McPherson when shopping around for a car - Lovely gentleman and very friendly, puts the customer first and ensures you have an overall great experience. He has a vast knowledge of the cars and walks you through all the features and any concerns he follows up for you
It was a great experience when we bought our GL350 last month. We are really appreciated lovely gentleman Duncan McPherson’ professional help and service. He was very patient and knowledgeable to walk you through from the moment when you ask first question to the final car handover. Highly recommend 👍 …
If you ever get a letter from the manufacturer about a potential default, AVOID like the plague, a guy who works at Westpoint Star called George. He is the most unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate employee I have ever come across in my entire professional life. This guy George called me 6 times, through out the day despite agreeing the car to be returned at 4:30. When I called at 4pm on the day to update that I couldn’t make it (I spoke to a lovey lady who agreed to letting me return the vehicle the next morning). 5 minutes later I have ANOTHER 3 missed calls and 4 corresponding messages from George. George proceeded to abuse me on the phone, making false claims. He is definitely one to avoid. I hope his boss sees this review.
First merc and last merc for me. The experience I received from them Merc sales team is well below standards. My wife had an accident with her Porsche early this year then we decided to buy our first brand new merc. Unlike other luxury brand, They do not have custom made option available for most of their models on the website. Only a few options to choose It felt like we were just buying a second hand car. The online sales team provided us add on option of custom plate service. Yes that’s the only custom service so far. We spent two weeks to finalise the custom plate with the online rep. Once we Signed the contract, From there the service go downhill. Westpoint team received the contract and informed us the custom plate service is not available. Contacted online team no response. After heaps of hustle including resigning contract to remove add on service , we finally receive our car. Only a few weeks later, we noticed the window screen wash had never been added in. Contacted the sales rep no response. It is the worst new car purchase experience I had so far. If anyone wants to own your custom new car with good service, don’t choose Mercedes it will only let you down.
Called to book a service, customer service was ok. until i mentioned that my car is under warranty with the Integrity, then she turn around said no available spot just for a quote.
The cars are great, however their service approach needs to be modernised!
They insist on multiple phone calls a day, and when email or text was requested, they still call multiple times! The sales approach seems to be geared towards older male buyers.
Also a few mistakes on the paperwork so be very careful!
Tedious, nice staff, mostly, but difficult to get ring backs from service dept, 5 hours too long to be rung back re simple appt for recall letter appt. And hadn't rung back after 5hours wait, so rang again re appt, simple matter, had done it before 2 years ago, got through in 5 mins appt 2 days later, 5 to 6 minute visual inspection with torch of sunroof glass adhesive, by member of service dept, all ok, then on my way, painless pleasurable good service. This time around same inspection, had to ring 4 times to make my own appt, was asked to leave the car for the day, protested that, ridiculous leave car for a day for 5 min visual inspection. Inconvenient, exspensive and silly. Not designed to be customer friendly. This is speaking to reception not to service staff directly, she Amy finally gave me an appointment for the 5 min inspection for July 11 am, i said I, will wait and have a coffee and browse the brochures, given that I was told its the same inspection as 2 years before, should be a maximum 30 min wait if the service has been told customer wouldn't leave car for the day.. So for protesting leaving the car for the day, at my own expense on mercs own recall letter for suspect adhesive in their manufacturing, my appointment was 8 weeks ahead but I, m OK with that, its obviously not a serious safety issue to have to wait 8 weeks for the 5 minute visual jnspection, which last time was carried out by no less than the service manager himself, nice guy, great service, on my way in 10 mins, very happy at the get it done attitude. This time for a ground hog day inspection I've been told, seeing I wouldnt leave car for a whole day for the 5 minute inspection, 8 weeks it's 11am. Appt, if it takes longer than a coffee, I will be protesting again. If of course its a special case etc, I will shut up cheers viewers.
. back
Doesn’t even know where their car is, sent us to the dealer in East Vic Park who then told us it’s in transit from the WestDot Star and will arrive in 3 days (apparently mercs had to be transferred at a 5m/hr speed) and was then told it’s sold by the next-to-IKEA dealer already 3 days later. If only people who can afford mercs have options to choose from, oh wait they do
